Low Carbon is introducing a proposal for a new solar farm which would be located approximately 1.1 kilometres to the south-west of Maldon. Maldon Wycke Solar Farm will have a capacity of approximately 25 megawatts (MW) to produce clean renewable electricity by photovoltaic (PV) solar panels. The electricity produced on this solar farm will be exported to the distribution network operator via underground cables.
